This Privacy Policy explains what information Gotchu collects and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account info — your name and email when you sign up.
- Driver/fan info — if you register for an event, your vehicle details and any car photos you add.
- Media content — if you run a studio, the footage and files you connect from your Google Drive, plus your studio details and payment handles.
- Usage — which studio pages you scan or visit at events, and basic activity needed to run the service.
- Device — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a local setting for your layout preference.
What we don't collect
- We don't process or store card numbers for footage purchases — those payments go directly to the Media through their own payment handles.
- Subscription billing (for Media) is handled by our payment processor, which stores card details on their systems, not ours.
How we use it
- Deliver footage and connect Buyers with the Media who shot them.
- Send transactional emails (e.g. "your footage is ready," order and booking notices).
- Notify Media of interest and activity at their events.
- Operate, secure, and improve the service.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run Gotchu:
- With the Media whose event you join, so they can deliver your footage.
- With the service providers that power the platform: our database & auth provider, our host, Google Drive (the Media's own footage storage), our email provider, our subscription payment processor, and a mapping service for event locations.
Your choices
- You can edit your profile info in the app.
- You can request access to or deletion of your account and data by contacting us.
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Footage may expire according to the Media's settings.
